"The Mission" Artwork Thread-Last UPDATE before MADE 16.06.

Hi Guys,

I have created a Blog which is called “The Mission”. It is about my journey to create the best portfolio I could possibly do till the MADE Symposium. Feel free to visit the Blog and get more information about the actual state of affairs.



I will use this thread to show as much as possible of my current work, everything from sketches to the finished artworks. At the moment I am creating new comic artworks, especially for a Marvel portfolio review.

In order to keep it simple; I will always post the latest artworks on top.

Hi Carsten,

One question: Are you using any kind of reference for your sketches or are they completely born out of your mind?
When I´m doing drawings for my comics, I´m shooting photos before to have reference.

Hi Tomppa,

my sketches are done without any reference . I like to be unattached to any reference while I am drawing. It helps to create stuff out of your own head, because sometimes reality is kind of hindering, especially with superheroes. But when I can’t figure out some parts, for sure I will look things up to find a solution.

By the way, I saw your comic book at Marko’s studio and I really enjoyed looking at it, great story telling. Keep up the good work!

Thanks Carsten for the nice words and congrats to your sketches (what I missed mentioning in my previous post)! I wished I could do more stuff out of my mind. I´m getting there very slowly for my taste, because I´m lacking practice. But now I took 6 months off from my normal 9 to 5 job to get this time for practicing.
Anyway, cool stuff you´re posting here. Best of luck for MADE! See you there!
